About a year ago I bought a CNC machine. Specifically an X-Carve from Inventables. I haven’t been able to use it as much as I would like yet, but this is a prototype logo cut-out of plywood for some simple signage on an interior door. The final piece will be cut out of hardwood but I wanted to make sure tool paths and end mill bit would produce good results – and the client was happy with the size – before cutting on a better piece of wood. The veneer on the plywood got ripped up during this cut, so I’m planning on stitching to a down cut end mill and try again.
